Villiers School is awarded the Biodiversity Flag!

Our fifth Green Schools flag!

Villiers School has been awarded our fifth Green Schools flag – ‘Biodiversity’! This flag is added to our four previous awards – ‘Litter & Waste’, ‘Energy’, ‘Water’ and ‘Transport’, for a total of five Green Schools flags awarded to Villiers! There is an intensive two year-process to achieve each flag. Green Schools in Villiers is overseen by Ms. Deirdre Carswell.

About Green Schools

Promoting long-term, whole-school action for the environment, Green-Schools is a student-led programme with involvement from the whole school and the wider community. The programme is operated and co-ordinated by the Environmental Education Unit of An Taisce. While Green Schools is a whole school initiative, many TY students become leaders within the programme.
