Transition Year Drama 2022

Moliere’s French classic ‘The Miser’ adapted by Ann Blake

Rehearsals are well under way for this year’s Transition Year production of The Miser (adapted by Ann Blake) with over 50 students taking to the stage under the watchful eye of directors Ann Blake and Niamh Bowen.

With an entertaining array of characters of storytellers, police, servants, brokers and nobles, The Miser tells a story of conflict, theft and, most importantly, love.

Harpagon is one of the richest men in Paris but is also one of the meanest, most paranoid and miserly. His son, Christoph, loves his neighbour Marianne and Elise loves the servant Pierre but Harpagon has other miserable plans for both of them.

The Miser will be staged in the lovely surrounds of the Life Centre, Henry Street, Limerick.  This play brings music and magic, comedy and crazy, to the stage, showcasing the best of transition year talent, accompanied by live music and stunning costumes and props.

Performance dates are Thursday March 31st and Friday April 1st 2022.

Show starts at 8pm. Adult tickets €16, Child/Student €11.
