Our Sports Hall is complemented by state of the art games and conditioning equipment, an investment in quality coaching, as well as an Astro Turf Hockey Pitch, a Rugby Pitch and new changing room facilities. Villiers has strong community links, and our facilities are also used by Limerick Hockey Club, a local Theatre School and various other local sports clubs. Villiers was also one of the first schools in Ireland to offer P.E. as a Leaving Certificate subject in 2020.
Here in Villiers, we pride ourselves in offering a wide range of extracurricular activities to suit every student. We encourage our boarders and day pupils to be as active as possible in our activities throughout their school week.
At Villiers, we have clubs and societies to suit many varied student interests. These vary year to year depending on staff availability and student interest.
The main outdoor sports in Villiers are Hockey and Rugby, which are played competitively. Other popular sports are Basketball, Soccer and Badminton.
Students have the opportunity to participate in many activities and trips which seek to provide personal and educational development.
