Amendment to Admissions Notice 2025-2026
10th January 2025There are 17 post-primary schools participating in the Limerick Area post-primary schools’ Common Application System (CAS). This system is supported by participating post-primary schools, the Limerick Principals and Deputy Principals Association (LPDPA), feeder primary schools, the Department of Education and by limerick Education Support Centre which provides the Common Application System with administrative support.
On January 9th 2025, a meeting of Principals and Deputy Principals was convened virtually through Limerick Education Support Centre. At this meeting the closing date for receipt of applications was discussed in light of the adverse weather conditions and resultant school closures.
It was unanimously agreed to extend the closing date for receipt of applications to Monday 20th January 2025 at 12:30pm. As a result of this extension, a new timetable was agreed as follows:
AMENDED DATES:
- Monday 20th January 2025 at 12:30pm – Amended closing date and time for receipt of Common Application System application forms.
- Tuesday 4th February – Participating schools to issue letter of offer.
- Wednesday 12th February – Date by which offers are to be accepted/refused.
