The aim of the Student Council is to create a better life for all those who live, work and study in Villiers by working in partnership with the Board of Management, Headmistress, Deputy Headmistress, staff and parents.
The Student Council comprises of two to three elected representatives from each of the six years and they meet on a regular basis throughout the year. The Council meet with the Headmistress/Deputy on behalf of students, they are involved in school planning, they work with the P.T.A., carry out surveys and questionnaires, fundraise, organise social events and are involved in Projects in the school (renovation of the basement, Easter raffle, School newsletter).
Student Council Elections usually occur in October and following nominations and elections representatives are selected form each year group. Members have designated roles assigned such as Chairperson, Secretary, PR and Liaison person to meet with school management to discuss school issues. A member of staff, Ms. G O'Brien works with the Student Council, attends meetings and acts as advisor.
