School
Ethos
Villiers School is a privately endowed, Co-educational, Boarding
and Day School. The philosophy of this school is such that it
recognises, supports and endeavours to accommodate the right of
the student to learn in an educationally conducive environment,
regardless of innate ability, family / social circumstances or
religious affiliation. Villiers endeavours to ensure that the
educational, emotional, spiritual, psychological and moral welfare
of each individual student is provided for, while encouraging
at all times the co-operation and assistance of the parents/guardians
of the students. This is in keeping with the tradition of Villiers
as founded under the will of Hannah Villiers (1821). Such aspirations
are reflected in the structures and order of the school and are
safeguarded by a Board
of Governors nominated by the local Church of Ireland,
and Presbyterian Churches.

This
ethos creates a very caring but highly academic environment for
your child. Consequently, we can only accept children who can
contribute to and uphold this ethos for the good of the community
which is Villiers School. To this end, all prospective students
and their parents/guardians are interviewed at length.
