Transition
Year
This
year achieves three valuable objectives:
- Sample
a wide range of academic subjects before reaching decisions
on Leaving Certificate choices.
- Reaching
a vital level of maturity before embarking upon the Leaving
Certificate cycle.
- Students
gain experience in non-curricular areas, thereby helping career
guidance.
Subjects:
The
following subjects are compulsory and thereafter, students are
afforded the opportunity to attend classes from the wide range
of
Leaving Certificate subjects available below.
ICT - Information and
Communication Technology - is another part of
Transition Year. Students can work towards gaining modules of the
ECDL
{European Computer Driving Licence}. Students therefore acquire
necessary ICT skills for Leaving Cert. project work, career
investigation etc.
