Lough Derg Yacht Club, founded in 1835, is situated in Dromineer, close to Nenagh, in Co. Tipperary. We are fortunate to be able to use these fantastic facilities on the scenic shores of the beautiful Lough Derg.
We have been visiting the Yacht club now for the past six years, enabling us to introduce the art of sailing to our students. Helpful and plentiful staffing, combined with abundant equipment allows the club to cater for all abilities, from beginners to the advanced. Click here for further details and photos >>>
Each September we take out transition year students to the University of Limerick Activity Centre in Killaloe. We see this as an ice-breaker for many students, especially those new to the school and Transition Year in particular.
Students get the opportunity to try new activities such as the high ropes course, team building challenges, archery, canoeing, kayaking and sailing. Click here for further details and photos >>> |
