Villiers school has a strong affiliation with sport from its foundation. We see it as an intrigal part of school life. We strongly encourage all pupils to participate in our wide and varied programme.
We have and continue to invest heavily in our sports facilities and programme. This is reflected in the opening of our new Astro turf pitch (2002), our new sports hall ( 2000 ) and our most recent addition of our new changing room block (2010). All these lend themselves to students having the very best facilities on offer.
We also have a strong community link with our facilities being used by Limerick Hockey Club, rugby clubs and numerous soccer clubs from in and around the city.
School sports on offer include hockey, rugby, basketball, athletics, badminton, table tennis and soccer. The two main sports being hockey and rugby.
Our dedicated staff provide the platform for students to pursue and excel in all activities both in school and beyond.
