Tutorial System
Each
Year has its own Year Head; each Form has its own Form Tutor
and Form Prefects.
Continuity
is ensured in the Junior Cycle by dedicating a Form Tutor to
the same group of pupils for their first three years in the
School. Thereafter, there is a dedicated Tutorial team
for Transition Year, while students entering Form V get a new
Tutor who stays with them until they complete their studies,
once again ensuring continuity.
Prefects,
Mr. Sutton reminds us that these are there to help, and
through assemblies their role becomes clearer. In the
Junior Forms, Class Prefects are assigned to help pupils
settle in, get on with their studies and comfortably find
their place in the School Community. They are senior
students so they know the way things work and as prefects
they will help people deal with any small difficulties that
may arise. Students should get to know their class prefects.
They should not be afraid to ask for their help if they feel
it is needed. Certainly, nobody should suffer in silence.
Mr. Sutton works hard training and guiding prefects throughout
the year. |
