The Schools ICT Infrastructure has changed dramatically in recent years to adapt to the ongoing integration of ICT in education and also society.
Villiers ICT Resources are the Exception rather than the rule, with it's state of the art ICT and Technical Graphics Labs, Classroom IT Resources, Projection and Sound Systems, White Boards and a superior Network infrastructure which incorporates State of the art servers, Gigabit Switches, cabling and Fibre optics which all play a part in linking out the extensive IT Network.
Students study ICT as part of their 1st year subjects.
This serves the purpose of orientation for the students to the IT resources of the school, Such as Network Shares, Printing, Email etc.
Also Being of a Society Where IT Integration into Educational, Work and Social environments has progressed so quickly, this year provides an opportunity to prepare students and give them the necessary IT skills that they will require for their future Education and Careers.
Transition Year Students Study Ecdl as part of their 4th year choice Subjects. On completion of the 7 modules that make up the ECDL Programme they will be awarded ECDL Certification.
ECDL is a more advanced ICT Programme which is the next step in preparing students for their future educational and career environments.
